Staphylococcus aureus là một vi khuẩn Gram dương có trên da và niêm mạc của người hoặc một số loài động vật.[1] Đây là một trong những vi khuẩn gây bệnh phổ biến và nổi tiếng nhất, gây ra rất nhiều ca nhiễm trùng từ nhẹ cho đến nặng trên toàn cầu.[2]
